This CO2 scrubbering system is designed to integrate with the AHU or HVAC system.
Normal HVAC system, the return air with high concentration of CO2. The mixing damper only open about 20% to return the air back to the building. The HVAC needs to pass large amount of fresh air to the building. The loading of chiller is high. Energy consumption is large.
Problem: Increase the fresh air intake will increase the loading of chiller.
Cause of Problem: The CO2 from the RAD is high
HVAC + CO2 ScrubbingTo integrate our CO2 scrubbering system in the RAD, it will absorb the CO2 before . As the CO2 level drops, mixing dampler can be open and return more air back to the building. Fresh air intake by can be greatly reduced or stopped. And as a result, chiller loading is greating reduced and energy can be saved.
Below is the CO2 absorbing ability of the scrubber.
Advantage: About 60% of the energy and cost can be saved.
